Our Annunciation Home celebration in New Westminster began with Divine Liturgy at Holy Eucharist Cathedral on November 20. The two priest celebrants were Mykhailo Ozorovich and Andrii Malysh, with Sr. Patricia Lacey cantor and Sr. Angelica Hodowansky. It was the first day of the Covid-19 lockdown in our province of British Columbia. However, our two dear friends (unofficial Associates) joined us for the Liturgy and then for the day. All four of us celebrated Blessed Josaphata as we prayed, played, shared concerns and joyful memories, laughed, and broke bread with a delicious meal we all put together.
Next day, we celebrated the Entrance of the Theotokos into the Temple and knew she would be happy to share the evening prayer with our Blessed Josaphata. Fathers Mykhailo and Andrii again were celebrants of our Moleben to Blessed Josaphata with Sr. Patricia cantoring and Sr. Angelica giving a presentation on the life of Blessed Josaphata. This was followed by solemn Vespers. All was live streamed on TV for our parishioners and friends, who had been invited and alerted to the event, to join their prayers to those of the Sisters in thanking God for Blessed Josaphata.
