Stories of Joy

by Sr. Frances Byblow, SSMI

Dear Friends,

If you like short stories, here are 18 originals, all titled Stories of Joy. Each one is conveniently numbered. We best see the sunshine after an overcast day; and don’t we experience greatest joy after a big hurdle has been cleared? That is the message in each story. Each one is based on my own or other people’s real life experiences that came to my mind as I reached for my magic pen itching to be exercised again after leaving me free for some time to settle in our Bethany Home in Winnipeg, where SSMI retire, or, if the Lord wills it, rest for a while, and then re-tire their cruiser to try another trip. God restored to me sufficient strength to travel again! I had no other motive in mind except my pleasure while writing the stories and your moments of joy as you read them. Tell me how you enjoyed them. Which ones are your favourites? My pen is still in my hand. May God bless us all as we pray for each other.

“Sing for joy, O heavens, and exult, O earth!
Break forth, O mountains, into singing!
For the Lord has comforted his people,
and will have compassion on his suffering ones” (Isaiah 49:13).
